Pointing It Out To You!!! Wholesale time

I get asked all the time about Wholesale Products, and while it is true that we don’t offer many sales or deals on our products, we do try to make them easily accessible to everyone. So how does the average person get our great product at discount prices you might ask… It’s really not that difficult…

Our minimum order to qualify for wholesale pricing is $500.00 after discounts. Our discounts vary depending on the quanity of each product you may purchase. For example if you order from 1-3 of a particular item you will receive 10% off on that particular item, if you order 4-5 of an item you will get $15%off on that item, if you order 6-11 of an item, you will receive 20% off on that item and if you get 12 or more of an item you get 25% off. For the record, you must call in all Wholesale Orders as the website is not set up for my distributors. We can be reached at 800-903-6387.

What are the advantages of saving money, they are vast for sure, and it often pays for itself if several buddies get together for their yearly savings on these products. We have numerous good ole boys that do this regularly. What are the disadvantages of wholesale pricing? There are a few things that I need to mention, not as many free gifts is at the forefront. The minimum “free shipping” is raised to $150.00 per order as well, with a $15.00 surcharge if you fall beneath this plateau.

Most Feed Stores are case quanity buyers (all items are sold by the dozen) so they are getting the highest discounts we allow unless you are a multi-case distributor. We have several of these as well, with much higher minimums for the initial order and much higher requirements for subsequent orders.

Many of our distributors started out buying small quantities and worked their way up by setting up at the shows - you may have noticed me at several of them this past year supporting their endeavors. I plan on doing a lot more in the future.

This year I traveled to Union, SC to support Kyle Newton @ DownSouth Feed, I traveled to Science Hill, KY to support my good friend Mark Black and Justin Haste @ Science Hill and Morganton, NC to support The Allen Family @ Belle Farm Feed. If you are one of my distributors and are planning on attending or hosting an event - let me know and I will try to make an appearance to help support your livelihood and I normally come in with raffle items and donations. Particularly the UGBA but I have been known to support other worthy organizations and causes as well. I do not set up a booth or try to compete with my distributors, I’m there for the odd conversation and to meet the younger generation cockers.

We have many distributors overseas as well - our line is well known in the Islands (Puerto Rico, St Thomas, Jamaica), South America, Philippines. Saipan, Guam and Vietnam. You will need a broker to get these into any of these countries that are not US Possessions as shipping direct is getting more expensive every day.

Next week I’m traveling to Myrtle Beach, SC for the 50th Annual UGBA Conference. I will be giving a speech on Treatments on Saturday August 16th. I will also be available for any questions or discussions on the care and treatment of these gamebirds of ours at this event. My next scheduled trips will be an annual BBQ in Mississippi in September and then back to North Carolina for the NCGBA Meeting and Poultry Show in October. Not real sure of the dates offhand. I will be available for other events, but I do need a bit of time to secure my travel arrangements.

As you all know, I love to meet people and I love to talk chickens, I’ve reconnected in a large way to old friends. I am currently studying to become a UGBA Certified Poultry Judge, this is something I never had the time for in the past, but now I do, and I’m really excited to learn something from a different approach.

I look forward to meeting all that can attend this event in South Carolina next weekend, it should promise to be a good time. Contact Dwayne Ard-SCGBA President on FaceBook for any further information.

A quick story…

About 15 years back, I got a call from a young couple that wanted to carry our products, they started small the first couple of years. As time went on, they grew to where they carried our entire line. We shipped hundreds of products to them on a weekly basis. They became the face of F B McGuinness as they had an online store. One day they disappeared, and people thought that we had shut down. First and foremost, I am here to clarify that F B McGuinness has been here for 36 years, and I reckon I’ll retire when they throw dirt in my face. Second, I cannot ever allow someone else to be confused with us again. I will never allow F B McGuinness to become lost in obscurity again.

Cockers love rumors you see, and what often starts as speculation, quickly becomes fact in their minds. I had one guy want me to prove that I was who I claimed to be. This is why I’m back out on the road and traveling to meet my clientele. I really don’t have anything to prove except my own existence I suppose.

Keep ‘em crowing.
